1576252 George David Coldwell-Horsfall (127257) is known to have been a 42G graduate
on multi-engine aircraft and was retained as an instructor at the end of his Arnold
training.
The signature in the log book could show the initials ‘H F’, but is not clear. F/Lt
Bishop OC 1521 B.A.T.Flt - 43464 F/Lt Herbert Frank Bishop AFC (F/Lt seniority 1-4-42)
later S/Ldr AFC OBE.
Jim Ives crew’s B/A Sgt Andrews - Thought to have been the Ives crew’s original W/Op-
Ag.
Sgt Cloutman (not named in log book but recalled by Geoff Yates)- Sgt William ‘Big
Bill’ Cloutman RCAF A/g with Ives crew at 1662CU.
P/O Pickles OC ‘A’Flight (ex 100 Sqn) - P/O Edward Lewis Pickles DFC RAAF was awarded
the DFC as pilot with 100 Squadron.
Sgts Hicks, Hatchard, Carr, Glen, Francis and Hardy - On 24 th March 1944 this crew
flew with F/Lt A J H Wright on the operation to Berlin, with the exception of Sgt
J F Francis
